The debt-equity ratio shows the debt level of the company and the debt equity ratio of Slater and Gordon Limited Company has increased from 0.5 in the year 2015 to 2.5 in the year 2016. Thus, it shows an increase in the level of debt. The decrease in the profitability and increase in the debts are the major reason for the failure of the company.
